Deep underground Raccoon City, Umbrella Pharmaceuticals Inc., the nation's largest supplier of medical products, is secretly engaging in genetic and viral experimentation, creating bio-weapons for unknown powers. However, the super-computer in control of The Hive the "Red Queen" has turned homicidal, the T-Virus has been released and the office workers have all been killed.
An Umbrella Countermeasures force sent into The Hive to shutdown Red Queen, along with two Umbrella special operatives with mild amnesia and a suspicious individual feigning as a police officer, break into the facility, but encounter the wrath of the Red Queen. However, that's the least of their problems, as with the shutdown engaged, the group are to encounter a new threat; the undead! They have three hours to escape before they are shut in the base forever!
